TRIO 650 GPS SYSTEM
#1

ok - so we went out and got new treo 650s and the gps kits and all the goodies - has anybody else set these up? i'm wondering if the gps antenna is enough, or if an external one jacked into the little pod is necessary

also, does anybody know of a cradle kit other than the one that palm offers?

Pocket PC found at http://www.handmark.com/ is a pretty amazing bit of software for getting online map/directions/weather/news info with your Treo if you doing the unlimited web data access. I have nothing to do with this company just have a few clients using it. I gave up my cell phone about 3 years ago and am happier without, but the Palm LifeDrive or Tungsten TX has been calling my name. Can't wait to see the new Microsoft/Palm collaboration Treos coming out in the beginning of 2006. Hope Microsoft doesn't eat Palm.

Flash, I have had my 650 for over a year now and love it. Let me know how that GPS deal works out. I saw it and was wondering.

Speaking of mac's and PDAs..I started with a Newton years ago and then switched to a Visor with the Visorphone plug-in.

my first was the M100 - i'll be playing with the new stuff this weekend and let you know how it works out - the kit will likely be fine in both the BMW and the 968, because they are both convertables, but i want a built in setup for the jeep where i can take advantage of the remote mic, speaker, and antenna, and not have to use the bluetooth earbud
