Watching my first DVR recorded episode they cover the Lotus Exige... what an amazing car... I am so happy to see this show picked up in the USA. I have been watching various episodes downloaded off of the internet. If you are a car fanatic this is a show for you. Probably the best car show on TV.
With the good news I recieved the bad news... My favorite show Garage Takeover has been canceled after 6 months and 40 episodes they got canned. I am totally bummed, I even got Nicole hooked. The show was very entertaining with all of the drama and mishaps. Plus they did some pretty interesting things that was very original. They had a new episode every week day for me to watch before bed.

Life stinks....then you buy a 968...and things get much better. I fondle my car now instead of the TV controller.

Is it the full hour? Or is it the 30 minute version that they run on BBC World? When I download the program using bittorrent, it is a full 60 minutes (no commercials). Unless they run it 90 minutes on the Discovery channel, they must be cutting something...
But this is great news. I really love Top Gear!

I happened to catch a part of it a couple days ago. They pitted a Bimmer, a 996 and a Jag in a drag race (yawn) on this super wet beach. So it was the "evil" German cars against the jewel of the Brits. Guess who pulled hard on the 996 for the win! They even had a gratuitous shot of the Jag spitting sand on the 996 while it was "stuck". Booo.
I'm sure it's a good show, but that seemed a bit obvious that they would pump up the Jag...

Hi Seric,
This show is very much tongue-in-cheek. They do some tests that are truly outrageous, but they are not trying to be Car & Driver, or Road & Track or the other more serious Brit car show "Fifth Gear". It is true that they heavily favor the Jag's, in a patriotic way. But also in a humorous way.
They also make jokes like "Porsche is the laziest design shop on the planet!" because few people can tell any difference in the looks of one 911* or Boxster from another. But then they go on to the engineering, and they get a bit more excited.
Anyway, you might give it another view, knowing that they poke fun at everyone, especially themselves.

I just checked the episode list from that link. These are all last season's shows. The new season is already 6 episodes in.
FYI: In episode 5 of the current season, they decided to see which was more manuverable and nimble: a new Boxster S, or a Mercedes CLK44 AMG Cabriolet. They did the test by having a crack riffle team from Irish military hide out in various buildings and shoot at Jeremy as he drove each car around a course. They used a laser targeting that Jeremy wore to keep track of the hits. Not very scientific, but very entertaining.
