CAB TOP DRIVE CABLE PROBLEMS
#1

I'm in the process of having a new top put on my 93 cab, and the top guy suggested replacing the two drive cables. He also indicated that the motors seem to be straining. I called Pelican to source the parts and was advised that if the motors are "straining", that the problem is more than likely caused by the grease in the transmissions.

Has anyone had any experience with this item? If so, how big a job is it to pull the transmissions, clean them up, and re-grease them? And, what type and quantity of grease should be used?

TIA.
