ANOTHER SHAKE DOWN DRIVE SYMPTOM
#1

I have the car home in Chicago after an uneventful drive from North Carolina. Since this was my shakedown run with the car, I have discovered a few issues (hopefully insignificant) that I have posted for comments on this forum. Yesterday when out for a drive, I noticed, on three occassions, when I was stopped and shifted into first, after a slight delay, there was a "clunk" that came from the transmission. Other than this infrequent clunk, the tranny works fine. Shifts up and down through all gears with ease.

I do know that the transmission was rebuilt since the PO noted the rebuid due to the infamous pinion bearing failure in the trans. So, what about the rebuild could have been wrong?
