I'm contemplating what type of cage to put in my car. Price is a big factor in this as well.
I am basically looking between a Safety Devices full welded cage versus going the full custom route. While I know that the custom route is the way to go, but with the price being roughly 3 times more expensive. Safety Devices I am looking at around 1300, while the custom cage is looking to be more like 5000 according to my local shop.
I'm looking at running with PCA and possibly some NASA events. I know that the Safety Devices cage needs to be modified slightly to be NASA legal.
