The glass guys delivered the hatch, we bolted it down.

Before I paid the money and signed the papers I showed them the scratches on the upper right corner of the frame, and the 'curvy' look to the glass on both sides, and a slight upward bow in the middle of the back of the frame. (I have pics, see older thread)

I was working on it later and noticed that two of the rear tabs were bent! (see pics below) Those tabs are some HEFTY material and there's no way I'm going to try and bend them back.

I called the glass company and they're going to come back out tomorrow and take the glass back.

Now the battle begins! Some questions: did Porsche ship it to the dealer in a crate that protected it? So who bent the tabs!

When you're looking at the pics look for the curvy glass in the fourth and third from last pics.

The bow in the glass is apparent in the fiftth from the beginning.

I'm not buying any lotto tickets tonight... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Very strange...

I can see the bowing a bit, but I wonder how that could have happened?

Did you see the tabs bent? And the scuff mark on the bottom of the tab?

I think it was dropped on the bottom, bending the tabs.

The glass guys will be out saturday to bend the tabs. If they don't break the glass - I'm good to go, along with a written guarantee on the glass not shattering!
