Viewing photos on old posts
#1

It seems that on some of the old posts, there are links to photos, but I can't view them.

Is this because they were externally hosted or is it a glitch of some sort.

I was looking at a forum about a cab top and it supposedly had photos of a tear down, and they won't load, I just get a spinny wheel that says it's chewing on it, but I eventually just give up and close it...

Thanks

Ed

I figured since we had this discussion with a newbie the other day but I was hopeful. Bummer.

yup - that's exactly why we want to have the stuff all hosted here, and why we now do backups

I have photos of the cab top tear down, but they're hosted off site (http://www.flickr.com/photos/23465100@N0...9462667888). I've been meaning to do a how-to on this, but I'm so busy these days that it seems unlikely that I'll get to it anytime soon.

I'll see about uploading some of the pictures here..

Thanks Matt,

It was one of those things that I was prowling around killing a day and reading and came across several posts that had photos gone.

Looks like it was a big job!

I have searched....but I can't seem to find a FAQ on how to post pictures in the body of the post....I did create an album the other day, but when I put the pictures in my post, it's more like a link with a thumbnail....can somebody direct me to a FAQ on uploading and posting pictures here? This is like no other forum software I've ever used. Thanks!

click on more reply options - then attach photos under the text box - see the tutorial on posting photos - they have to be 800 pixels wide maximum..so you have to size them first...don't worry it took me a while to figure it out too and had to ask...
