iPad viewing
#1

This forum is absolutely abysmal to view on an ipad. Pages zoom up automatically by a ridiculous factor and you can't un-zoom.

Might be something to look into.

I have had some problems but for the most part it's fine. When it opens it does this zoom from large to normal but that happens in a second or two.

My iPad does not do that. It may be because I use Google Chrome as my browser, instead of Safari? I have no problems viewing the forum that way, maybe it will help for you?

On occasion my Ipad will do it, for the first page only. Once i select another page, all is fine.

never looked into it though.

My original iPad (the first model) did that often. My newer iPad 3 has never done it.

Yep - first page does this then usually ok after that, but not always. It gets annoying.

Mine loads large, then scales itself. It just takes a second to think about it. I am using an iPad mini though (who said size matters).

Sorry folks, this is the (un) joy of a small, site. Can't conform to every new platform that comes down the raod. We have been planning an upgrade to the software, but our foremost concern is maintaing the integity of the data, so it takes some time to plan the move over.

Thanks for bearing with us,

Jay

+ 1. Albeit very seldom, so not complaining too much. What's really annoying is that it does that with eBay 100% of the time , sizing the main " myeBay " page to a microscopic version of itself. Arrrghhh ! So if EBay can't provide a flawless system for the iPad, given they have almost two times the budget and maybe three times as many resources and access to technology than the Forum, I think I can live with this occasional glitch here...

I was going to add that the site stinks on Windows-8.... BUT then I realized everything stinks on Windows-8 and the site is wonderful!!!! In fact, of all the things I use on windows-8, this forum is the one of the best. I also use it occasionally on the Galaxy smart phone. after logging in it works very well.

Eight guys in matching jumpsuits all looking at the same screen,... I guess that's "redundancy"? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
