supercharger kits in stock
#1

ok - now that i am done getting what i want out of my kit (333hp at the wheels), it's time to refocus on the remaining kits sitting in my garage.

the good news is that i ran off a few extra hardware kits in the last run, anticipating a few more people jumping in. that didn't happen, so i have a few left. fortunately i didn't buy the head units, or i would be sitting on a whole lot more expense. the bad news is that because i didn't buy the head units in that batch, they cost more money to get one at a time.

the other good news is that along the way, i came up with more power, in the form of stage 2 and stage 3 tuning kits.

these kits are flexible as to the level of output. you can go with stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, or do your own tuning and get even more (engine building may be required, depending on how far you want to go).

the way this works is this:

1. first, you buy the hardware kit, which includes every bracket, pulley, hose, nut, bolt and everything else needed to install the supercharger.

2. then, you can buy the same modified head unit as in the previous kits, which limits the boost to 5lbs, or you can buy an unmodified one. if you get the unmodified one, none of the tuning packages will work, but you can use your own tuning, or install a standalone, or whatever you want.

3. then lastly, you can buy a stage 1, 2, or 3 tuning package (stage 3 requires stage 2 as well)

i am considering a payment arrangement plan so that people can walk into this gradually.

the bottom line is that i want more people out there having fun. i've worked things out so that the system can be tailored more for individual needs and budgets. there is plenty of time to get one, get it installed, and be ready for spring.

i have a few of these kits here in stock. i all but certain that i will never be making any more, and am very certain that it at least won't be for a very long time. this is one of the things that is just too complicated to continue in one-off form, and will never develop a demand sufficient to justify another run. once these are gone, that's it.

so, if you've been dreaming about having more power, now is the time to act.

there are now 3 kits that look like they will be spoken for. that leaves 2.

i have absolutely no plans to make any more after this. they are just way too much trouble, and the costs to make them are too high. i do not want to stock things any more. if i had to make a one-off, you can plan to add at least $1000 to the price tag.

Flash can you briefly summarize the difference between stage 1, 2 and 3 apart from the fact they generate differnet levels of power. I have read many posts but sort of lost track. I think stage 2 requires an uprated FPR and stage 3 comes with new injectors and all will have there dedicated chip?

... and out of curiosity, does anyone own a supercharger who isn't a member of 968forums?

jaap - there is an entire thread about stage 3 that would do a lot better job, but i can say that stage 3 requires stage 2, and all stages are tuned specifically for the parts used.
