Will these wheels fit?
#21

Is there any other place to where the emblem should be pointing?! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Yes, they are very nice looking wheels. Every now and then, a set of 17"s come up with a nearly identical design. I like them too!

Wow - 28 lbs on the rear - that's heavy.

What's a stock 17 8 1/2 weigh? If only a couple pounds more than say a Fiske, I'd go stock.

Hmmm...now that I have a trailer, this has got me started thinking about a dedicated set of lighter 17" track wheels.

What's that someone once said about a slope?

a stock 17 x 9 C2 Turbo is about 25 lbs - a stock 17 x 9 993 Cup wheel is about 22.5 lbs

given that a 7.5 is almost 2# lighter in each style, i would guess about 12-14 ounces lighter for each of the wheels in an 8 - i don't know of an 8.5 in either style

You, my friend, are no longer on the slope... You are now reaching for the rip cord during your free fall!!!!!!

To be honest, dedicated 17's for the track might be a good idea for the long term- especially if 17" track tires are cheaper / more readily available for the "casual" racer (casual = not professional, not sponsered, etc.). Also, you wouldn't have to worry about the inevitable wear-n-tear on those fine 18's of yours and getting "disposable" sets of 17's can happen anytime...

But, not being a racer, I really don't know what the *best* answer is. I'm sure Pete can weigh in with plenty of wisdom, as you know! Man, your trailer is getting jam packed!!!
