Chris

Belt day has been called on the account of rain, sorry about that. It is not being rescheduled.

pretty sure eric is still going to do his out there, and that would be a good time to do yours - eric hasn't scheduled it yet though because he is in the middle of some other work being done on his car - i'm sure once he's done, he'll work it out

the original plan for this kind of a thing, was where somebody like dave would stand over the shoulder giving careful instruction, with a beer in one hand, while you did the actual work

pretty sure that is still the plan for the day at eric's, and eric said he had the space for 2 cars

IF I ever get my car back...at this rate..? I've got a descently long driveway (2x2) and an open 2 car garage to work in. I'll probably get to it mid-April. We can schedule to do anyones cars without tackling mine since I want to do front seals and variocam at the same time. I will learn as much as I can, and then do mine after the fact. Whatever weekend you all can agree on, I am game for. Flywheel locks might be the limiting factor depending on how many cars.

And a bunch of other stuff: P9201, Arnnworx tools, etc, etc... The only thing I don't seem to have is a free weekend....

Likewise. Maybe after I take the Bar... (Sigh.)

Seriously, though, I'd love to get her belts swapped sooner than later. Anyone? I'll bring the beer.

Chris <- Wishes the trend was towards mailing lists rather than web forums, since I check email daily and don't always remember to 'hit the board(s)'...

Did that, but I'm not getting the notifications for some reason.

Also, that only addresses responses back to your own threads or those you're participating in; it doesn't apprise you of new traffic on the board which, if you don't remember to check on a regular basis, you'll miss.

I'm in the process of writing my own 'forum' software with tight SMTP integration, for another list that I'm on (currently a Yahoo! group, which does provide SMTP integration but a truly lackluster board system, and which we're overwhelming with ~5000 messages/month).
