contemplating having a detail day
#1

i'm thinking about having a detail day in advance of the paso robles run. not so much to buff out everybody's cars for the run, but rather to just shake things out for the spring, and give the cars a once over inspection

i'd like to do it far enough in advance so that if we find anything glaringly out of whack, the owner will have enough time to get it handled if they are going on the paso run

not sure yet what the date would be. i am finishing my car over the next 2 weeks, i already have a supercharger install happening the first weekend of march, and i may have to go out of town for a bit to go straighten out a tv station.

but, there may be a weekend in there somewhere

thoughts?

Sounds good to me Flash - but give me three or four weeks to get the car moving under its own power again!

Sure make my car look real bad at Paso. I am scheduled for a front end repaint and windsheild but I have decided to postpone it until after Paso; yes, I want to show up all shiney and new but that old common sense got in the way of pride. That way I don't have to worry about the bra and the rubbing/masking on new paint. As well, any chips I get therre and back on I5 will be fixed when I get home. Be kind to me.

lol - no worries. like i said, what i am thinking about is as much an inspection day as a detail day. pretty sure it will be limited to those going on the paso run. i'd like to give those guys a chance to have somebody look over their car before the trip.

not even sure i'll have time, but i thought i'd float it out there

it's not looking promising for having a detail day prior to the paso robles event. my only uncommitted weekends between now and then are the last weekend of this month, which is easter, and the following one. i have some more remodeling to do too, so i'm not confident this will happen at all.
