That is the Strosek 968...aftermarket body kit. I think there is some info on that here in various threads. I'm pretty sure the guys name is Rich Tokar and that car has been used for lots of different promotions are different events.

Yep, that is Rich Tokar's Strosek Evolution. He is usually at the Hershey Swap Meet and, as Darryl said, has it on display as a promotion item (travel, etc). Come to Hershey this year if you want to check it out.

i didn't like the car at all - way too many things going on that didn't work well together

while i sort of liked the rear quarterpanels, they were at odds with the rest of the lines of the car - had they have gone ahead and reworked the rest, and gotten rid of the edges and hard lines, then it would have been something

the mirrors look deformed they should have been reversed so they didn't look turned in and up

i didn't like the painted centers, and the center caps looked incomplete

the car bugged me from the get go though, because i hate yellow, so it was already 2 strikes down going in

still, i commend them for trying something new

I definately appreciate the effort and style, lots going on. I am sure it's very stong in person.

The stock 968 look can sometimes bother my eye from particular angles due to the way the factory created the design, sort of cobbling some of it together to create a "new" model. For instance, the side rocker panels. They never look quite right to me - like the add-ons that they are. I also think that the cars all need need a front splitter. I personally prefer black for the splitter and not so knife-like.

those have been some of my problems with the 968 lines too - it is obvious that they gave a car a face lift - it is even more obvious on the cab, where the rear hip caps are literally glued on

someday i may get around to reworking a body, but it won't be any time soon - i'm kinda popped from the supercharger

When I first started looking at the 968, it was the rockers that bothered me most.
But over time, I took a liking to them.
At least some attention to detail was givin, (the way the rear bumper cover cut line is horizontal with the rocker top)

Many 944 people dislike the front styling, for me it's one of the things I like most.
A splitter is diffenetly a helper for those that like things a little more aggressive.

Yes, phone dials. A phone booth wheel would be a bit ungainly wouldn't it?

Regardless, I think it's cool and they did a good job with it. I'd love to see that stroll down the 101 on a Sunday. It would turn heads for sure.
