Shipping engine cross country - recommendations??
#1

I just bought a very low mileage motor off eBay. Need to ship it from Atlanta Georgia to Vancouver BC Canada on the West Coast, or near to Seattle. Any suggestions on trucking companies??

Will be secure on a pallet - a 3x3x3 cube around 500 lbs. Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

try yellow freight - they handle LTL stuff like that all the time - customs will be an issue though - pretty sure you will have to pay duties upon crossing the border - canada is steep - if you can figure out how to get it across the border yourself, you would save money

Thanks Flash - someone else on the other forum recommended Yellow Freight too... I'll contact them online and get a quote. Customs clearing is not a big deal, depends what they charge for their "documentation fees" - duties and taxes are not a big issue either but they will add up to 20%!!! Oh well, cheaper than rebuilding the present motor.

yeah- if you could somehow show you are just "moving" and bringing it with you, you might get past the duties
