engine shuddering
#1

Hi,

I have a well maintained 92 968 tip with 97000 klms.

recently with engine warmed up I was driving at a creeping speed <5kph after leaving a carpark, when the engine began to shudder violently like it was stalling. After giving it some gas it corrected. this has happened now on three occasions over the last 400 klms.

the car has traveled only 700klm since last service in Aug. The vehicle has never been neglected, any ideas?

could be dirty injector, but more likely something in the ignition system - a loose spark plug will do it - so will a worn distributor cap

i would not assume that just because it was recently serviced that it precludes something from being wrong, in fact, it actually increases the chances, if they worked on plugs and such

i'd poke around and check those things out

Also check the hall sensor wires, the same happend to my 93 a few times then i found the front sensor wires had rubbed though. fixed it with solder and haven't had a problem since.

I had the same problem and it was a bad cam sensor. While I was at it I had the injectors chemically cleaned.
