shine a little light on me

Another vendor has popped up with fenders similar to these on another board. I questioned the fitment based on some pictures that were posted. They appeared to show a large gap along where the fender and hood meet the bumper. The vendor assured me that the fitment was 100% perfect, and now looking at the pictures, the gap is gone. Feeling like I was crazy, I did a little more investigation: the modification date on images shows they were modified after I posted my question.

Pro-tip: Making your customers feel stupid/crazy with photoshop tricks is not the way to win business.

And end result, vendor appologized.. Feel free to ignore my rant.

So they admitted they doctored the photos? That's pretty disappointing. Hopefully they'll get the quality issues worked out before they're ready to go to market.

That might be a vendor whose credibility I would have difficulty not questioning.

Yeah. The explanation was that it was just a test fit and the rubber beading wasn't in correctly. I'm not sure doctoring the photos was the best way to show that. Not knowing the vendor, I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt this time. But, as you said Rap, I'll have to have a hard think before parting with my money for one of their products.

i find it hard to believe they have 30 of those out there with no pricing information. did they just give them blank checks?

I think they're actually a pretty reputable outfit - I have a pair of their brake duct scoops (which I bought through RS Barn), and they're of very high quality. We'll see how this plays out...

those ducts didn't start out so stellar though. initially they didn't fit right. i guess they worked it out. that happens with fiberglass. it just shouldn't happen at the customer's expense, and hopefully that isn't happening.

Yeah, I thought I had heard something about that, so I thought I would have to do a lot of work to get mine to fit, but they fit perfectly.
