My new B&B Muffler is Wonderful!!!!
#1

I finally installed the new B&B muffler on the 968 and I really like the deep, throaty sound. The only downside is that I can still hear tire noise on cruise. So a bit louder would be nice. However, the great sound is wonderful at rev. Don't know if it gave me more HP but I don't remember my tires spinning as much before when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Perfect fit....fits snug to body..doesn't hang down...bolted up perfect in minutes. Took me longer to get the car onto jacks than to install (I also reinstalled the three under-panels while it was up).

Now, I have a great shape catback muffler system that I don't need that's too long to ship to anyone.

Flash,

I waited until warmer weather to install it. And I'm pleased with it, However, had I to do it over again, I'd probably buy the version w/out the resonator since I like to hear a louder burble of the engine. My 928 has a rear muffler buypass (cat only) and it's loud but wonderful sounding. I think the stock 968 muffler does the car a disservice. A good muffler confirms that it's a sports car.

Now...to the next mods...

Harvey, do not despair about shipping the entire stock system. I sold mine and shipped it via UPS. I just wrapped some foam around the edges and UPS took it without boxing the entire thing. Someone will really appreciate it. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Bob: that's nice to know! I just freed up a complete exhaust system by installing the RS Barn system. Guess I should post an FS...

I think I sold mine for $150 plus shipping, I don't ever intend to return to the stock system anyway. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.
