Missing/lost round "cap" in rear bumper cover
#1

While driving this weekend, I noticed the round body color "cap" (actually just plugs a hole) on the passenger side of the rear bumper cover (down low) was gone. I have no idea why or where. Does anyone know what that item is called? I'm certainly hoping I can buy one from Pelican or elsewhere.

TIA

I ordered one a few years ago, got it from Sunset Porsche (Beaverton, OR).   Part number 951 505 103 00 (G2X), $19.21, comes in primer (not painted), I think it had to ship from Germany.

What's the purpose of that bumper hole which the plug covers ? I have a similar plug on the Mercedes, and it's not as if the tow hook of any other part which I can see is behind it ..

On my 92 model there is actually a threaded hole for the tow hook from the toolkit behind the cover. I think on later models this was deleted although the cover is still there.

Same here, I had to use the tow eye once in the front when my heater control valve cracked.
