#21

ah - well, that's different, and certainly anybody is welcome to do anything they want on their own

For quick navigation to & from the "new post page" I just right click on the topic and select "open link in new tab". When done reading or replying I just close the tab and the browser returns to the original tab. I'm running F/Fox, but it works the same in IE.

i never have gotten used to using tabs - i see the obvious advantages, but on a mac, it's a bit less obvious to navigate and generate tabs (file - new tab - yada yada)

it does do the trick though
My only real frustration with the interface (since we are throwing wet sponges at Bob today ) is when I view new posts. If I have not visited in a day or so, the list can get rather long. I rarely have time to wander through all of them before I get distracted (i.e., get back to work). As a result the rest of the new posts are then buried in their many little topics, never to been seen again unless they get a reply, and I see it before leaving, again.

Whew! Did that make sense? Perhaps there is a tool I am missing (probable actually). But with so many topics I just cannot even begin to find something I did not really see to begin with... see?

and now back to work!
I get it, and +1

Lazy am I? After toiling in front of this computer screen for minutes, working my weary fingers to the bone typing out these impossibly long sentences, stress from worrying about proper grammar, spelling, and syntax. HA!

Maybe a little.

Based on flash's initial response, and the track that this thread has taken, I'll take the response to my suggestion as a no. Lots of other interesting thoughts.

Smoke what do you mean with "I use the right click on my mouse Less hand movement"?

Do you have more than one button on your mouse?

Push the button on the right. A menu will pop up with options.

Beats going all the way to the top of the screen to push thre back button.

lol - on the other hand, i try not to use the mouse at all - my keyboard has all of its functions on it for moving around on the screen - page up, page down, home, end, yada yada

now if i could just figure out a macro for the "add reply" button...............

The question led me to believe otherwise.
