As I've posted elsewhere one of the biggest headaches here in [rural] Ausrtralia is that the supply of product just isn't there, which is why I envy those of you in the US and Europe with the options you have to choose from. I know this might seem to be just another ebay bandit, but they do offer a complete front/rear, rotor & pad kit which is reasonably priced and will be about A$200 a corner after shipping.

I personally wouldn't touch them. Go with a brand you know. £200 + £75 delivery for 4 Sebro rotors from Design911. I bet the ebay pads are rubbish. For brake pads you could try Performance Friction Brakes Carbon Metallics or try Racer Industries for some Project Mu's. Both of these are in Australia. If your not planning on driving the car "hard", then it may not matter. But of you want to extract the most performance possible I would steer clear.

Quick Question: I am about to buy a set of of front and back rotors. I'd like to go with Zimmerman coated, cross drilled rotors. I'm not doing slotted rotors because I've heard it mentioned on the forums that they eat up the Porterfield pads I'll be putting on. Doing a quick price check, it looks like the set will run about $560 from Pelican, and about $760 from R1 Concepts. The "premium" rotors are the ones I was looking at on R1 concepts.



Am I not comparing apples to apples? Should I go with the Pelican set, or has anyone found a better deal for this set up?

i would look to see if they are coated or not.



R1 includes pads, which is what pushes their price up. that still seems higher than the ebay price i've seen for them from that company though. i just looked and i found them at 155.99 for rear and 156.99 for front, with pads

I'll take another look on ebay and call Pelican as well. Seeing as I don't need pads, unless R1 has an option without pads, Pelican would still comes in slightly cheaper, and they do say that the rotors are coated. I don't know anything about the quality of the coating from either vendor.

i don't see how pelican would be cheaper. i swear the numbers i saw listed are for pairs, making them under $400 for all 4, and you can toss the pads
