Roof Gutters
#1

After having some paintwork done I would like to replace the roof gutter rubbers, has anyone removed these before? Are they just a pop off?

Cheers

They are a PITA. I replaced the rubbers & clips. When I went to put them back on the right one would not stay. The way the clips hold they on the mldg is serated. Even the new clips would not work right. The rubber was not too hard but still a pain.

Thanks,

So is it just brute force to remove?

When I removed mine I used a putty knife (with some tape on it to protect paint) and inserted it between the rubber seal and roof and slowly step by step loosened them by forcing the knife away from the roof. You can actually 'feel' where the clips are (about 7). However still some of the clips broke so I replaced all of them but had no problem reinstalling the gutters.

Hey guys,

I saw that somebody already struggled with these 'rain gutters' before. I have the new rubbers for replacement.

Just to make things clear for me; are these clips mentioned above the same as the ones on the side skirts, the plastic plug-inns?

To protect the paintwork, I will put a band of tape on the roof along the gutters.
