Roock Porsche?
#1

I'm looking to have a few things fixed/serviced on my 968 I just bought last weekend from my father (he has had the car since 1998). I want to upgrade to the RSB stainless brake lines, have the brake system flushed and refilled and same with the trans (tiptronic unfortunatley). I also have a dent that needs to be repaired on the back right fender. So, I've done some research on here and I've learned of one shop up 85 which is very far from me (I live in Smyrna, work downtown), a shop in Marietta (Rylands) and I just found Roock Porsche after searching online. I did not find anything when I searched "roock" on this site. Anyone have any experiences? They seem to be a one-stop shop so to speak, for my needs, as they do service and body work. And it's on the way to work for me, they also offer shuttle service which is key for my schedule with work. I appreciate any feedback.
Thanks,

I have never dealt with them personally but on the Boxster board (which i used to frequent) had a bunch of members who had used them. I don't remember anything bad about them. I know they make some parts for Boxster stuff. Not sure how much they know about the 968.

I guess to answer your question, I get the feeling they are a pretty reputable house.

Thanks. I searched a bit on Rennlist and they also received favorable marks. I'll probably give them a call and set something up. I will report back. I just placed my first order with Pete @ RSBarn, great guy. Ordered the SS Brake lines and a new heater control valve, for piece of mind. Mine is original (only 31k though, but still). I'll have Roock throw those on, as I need fresh trans fluid, brake fluid and coolant.

Sears, I had my AC repaired by Roock Porsche in Atlanta while I was visiting relatives there last year. Quick service and the AC is still working just fine. Would have been a miserable trip back to Albuquerque without it! I enjoyed looking at all the different 356 Speedster Replica cars he was working on at the time. Said that he bought out Classic Carriage shop in Florida who used to make the fiberglass bodies. Neat little cars, some of them with really hot VW engines. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Well Roock isn't returning my calls so I've set up and appt at Ryland's in Marietta. I spoke with John there and he was very friendly and helpful. I'll be taking it in Monday and I'll report back my thoughts afterwards.

I drove by the building Roock was in the other day and I am wondering if they have moved as the sign was no longer up. That could explain why you're not getting in touch with them. Rylands has a good reputation and I have known some 944 owners that have used them in the past with positive results. It will be interesting to hear your experience. I don't believe they do body work however so if you'd like a recommendation for that let me know.

I think Roock moved to a location on Marietta Blvd, but I haven't ridden by that way in a while. I'm looking forward to Ryland's next week, I've read that they are very honest on Rennlist. Could you provide a recommendation for bodywork? I need a smallish dent fixed on the right rear fender.
Thanks!
