Porsche specialist in Toronto?
#1

Title says it all. There are some good ones 30-50 miles away, but does anyone know of a good non-dealer Porsche specialist (ideally a 944/968 specialist) in Toronto?

Thanks!!

I have the same problem. I've used Downtown Porsche - stay as far away as you can, unless it's an emergency. Leny's seems sloppy and expensive - a big fall-off from the old days, when he was just expensive.

Blaszak in Kingston is inexpensive but far away and too focused on racing to get your car back in any reasonable time, unless it's well out of season. It's not too bad getting the car there, because he'll pick you up and drop off at the train station.

There's Mantis in Oakville, who I haven't tried yet...

I'd say you cannot go wrong with Ulli Furtmair in Kitchener. He's a hyper-fussy German and knows his stuff inside out and backwards. It's a big nuisance to get down there (it helps I have siblings there who will take the car in for me and lend one back), but I'd say it's well worth it if you want it really done right.

If you go want to go down there, I need some small things done, and we can do at least one shuttle to take one down and the other back.

PM me.

I realize it is farther than you asked for, but Eurosport in Dorion Quebec is about 30 mins from Cornwall Ont. - I would highly reccomend them. Richard Kirten is the owner. PM me if you want a ph#.

Take it to Ernie at Mantis in Oakville. Best and most reliable in the GTA. I've been to a few of them over the years with my cars - PM me and i can give you more info.

I'm going to give Mantis a try. I have an appointment on Monday for an oil change, coolant flush and general once-over so I can start compiling a to-do list.

I take issue with classifying Oakville as "in the GTA" (it's a good 40 minute drive), but I guess beggars can't be choosers

Many thanks everyone.
