I will be taking an extended driving trip with the 968 this summer, and I was wondering what relays you all would suggest I keep with me. I have an early 92 if that makes a difference.
Thanks!

DME RElay is the big one. I keep the extra fuses (on the lid) filled up, just in case...

I am curious to hear about anyone’s experience with this too. If I understand the function of this new relay it is supposed to power the fuel pump immediately upon the ignition key being turned instead of waiting for the engine to actually rotate before powering the fuel pump. The upside is supposed to be quicker starting because the fuel system is pressurized even before the engine is cranked. I know that several of my other late model vehicles have this feature.
One negative regarding the activation of the fuel pump when there is no engine rotation might be that the fuel keeps being pumped in the event of an accident where fuel lines have been broken, unless there is some system that would detect engine stoppage and shut down the fuel pump in such an event.

Since I replaced my original 944 part with the 993 part I have only replaced the relay once more in 18 years. Still, it seems like good insurance.
