Rear seat delete piece
#1

I just saw this on EBAY. Sounds like an interesting weight reduction piece. May also be interesting for some who want to "clean up" the rear of the car of cubbys and seats.

Looks like a clean way to go. Having deleted my rear seat bottoms, it is not too terribly difficult to work with a roll of black carpet from PepBoys and some contact adhesive. Actually, the leftover glue that the factory sprayed on does the majority of the work.

that gives me an idea for a solution to the rear carpet issue - a thin layup of fiberglass around the spare tire area, and i could do away with the very heavy foam piece, and expose the sub, all without cutting up my carpet

cool

Bob, if you put have the thought into removing weight from the front, we'd be getting somewhere. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

lol - true enough - still trying to figure out what else to do there - 60 lbs seems to be as much as i can yank from the front without going to a lot of effort redesigning bodywork

The cooling fan...weighs too much and aftermarket units are more efficient...and its up front.
