Rear Seat Delete Carpet from Classic9
#1

I made a template and mailed it to Bud. He does super nice work. He charged $70. German Silverknit carpet (same as out cars) with bound edges. Just got them today. I will fit them tonight. In the meantime here's the before photos. After photos later tonight.

Anxoius to see how this turns out, as I'm planning to remove my rear seats as well. Thanks.

Looks very nice. I will be doing this to my car soon as well (after I finish the engine and suspension rebuilds).

Off topic, but from your signature, your car has several interesting upgrades. What do you think of the camber plates? Did the car come with them? I'm wondering what impact they had on the ride, since the eliminate a huge hunk of isolating rubber at the tops of the front struts. I'm going to install them on my car in the next few weeks. And does your roll cage cover the whole interior, or just the rear area? Thanks.

Looks nice. Im pretty sure Im gonna swap all my goodies from my 951, to the 968. Just tired of seeing the 968 sit. Its a better car, deserves the better engine, and suspension, and braking. One thing Ill do is redo the carpet in the 968, light gray shows the imperfections too much. I was just wondering who has the best kit. Good to know.

Bought the car with all those mods installed. It was a weekend track rat but it was in great shape. No paint or body work and the guy was fanatical about maintenance. He also spent a good deal of cash building the car up. The ride is VERY harsh. I actually want to play around with some different springs and maybe have the shocks re-valved. That's news to me about the rubber strut mounts. It probably does contribute to the harsh ride. I just don't know any different. The previous onwer was begging me not to mess with the suspension setup. He says once I get it on a track I will understand why. I do plan on tracking the car but I will drive normal roads more than he did. Still deciding what to do. The car came with a full bolt in roll cage. The front portion goes in and comes out really easy. I plan on re-installing it when I track the car. Otherwise, it makes for a pain in the a*s getting in and out so I removed the front portion. Here's a photo before I took it all out.

It looks like the previous owner put a lot of thought into the set-up of the car.
