As I mentioned in my reply in DMSS topic about rear demister/braking light, I had a broken wire which connects defroster cable to the rear hatch glass grid. The wire was broken at a common place near the left side rear hatch shock. Pulled the plastic cap off, inserted piece of new wire, connected, everything was working fine. Yesterday (some 3 months later) realised that defroster doesn't work. Checked the wire and it looks as if it burnt out! So the wire is broken again, its ends are blackish and ends of electrical tape covering the wire seems to be roasted a bit. Any ideas what may have caused this? Did I have to use the specific wire? I mean diameter, material, etc? For the repair I used a piece of ordinary wire I found at home, about 4 mm in diameter, braided from many tiny threads . Or the problem is more likely to be caused by a grounding, relay or else?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
