I only noticed it the other day because I needed to roll up the windows and close the roof. I stuck the key in and rotated it to "ON" and suddenly the fans came on as if the A/C were on or how they do normally in the summer time after a city drive. It must have just started doing this in the last week or so because I did the same thing (key in, rotate, roll up windows, etc) several days ago.
I've got a couple of notions as to what it MIGHT be (thermo switch, etc) but I'm not positive.
Help!

Dan, it most likely isn't the thermo-switch as this makes the fans run all the time even with no key, draining your battery. Could the defrost button be pushed?

I'll have to run out and check to make sure all the buttons and switches are in their proper positions and respond back. Thanks!

OK, the switches are in the correct positions so nothing out of the norm there. What do you suppose might be the next step???

I checked the A/C activation. Works as advertised. Thanks Flash.
I pulled the plug, turned the key on and the fans don't come on. Sounds like the radiator switch. A scan through the PET will be next in order to locate the correct part number. Is it the same switch for a 944? I'm figuring this is a fairly common part.
Hopefully, the local parts stores will have one in stock.
I'll update the thread with the results of the repair.
Thanks John.
