Power steering fluid
#1

Does the power steering fluid ever get changed? Does it ever break down over time or obsorb moisture as in break fluid? What is the recommended fluid and viscosity for the 1995 968 MO3O if any different than a normal suspension 968. I could not find the specification in the workshop manual.

Well worth the change, all the particles of old seals and bits of metal whizzing round

Dexron II is the correct fluid for all 944/968 you will need just under 1ltr

It's in the owners handbook

Another thing I completely neglect ..must make a " note to self " to change those fluids at least once in the lifetime of the car, lol.

When draining out, undo the return line on the rack then just let it drain and then turn lock to lock to push out the last.

Refill and turn lock to lock a few times before starting the engine

If you are feeling keen I would reseal the PAS pump at the same time easy job just don't drop the vanes

Seal kit is about $30
