Even though I like the kenesis wheels,

The black wheels look "BAD"

Thanks Pete, it was time for a change. The black wheels are for the (dont cringe) snow tires.

I still think that Polar Silver is a BEAUTIFUL color, not only for this model, but the 911/993 is really nice as well.

In her chrome, winter shoes or with her 993 18" wheels( painted to match), my 968 makes me look back every time I park her and walk away.

Maybe it's time I started dating again.

This is like the Polar Silver fan club...I have to admit that this time of year every trip to the garage takes an extra minute so I can take a look at the car and think of warm weather, or at least dry roads.

I am looking forward to driving mine in the snow this afternoon. A true polar experience.

I was lucky enough to own a 1994 Polar Silver Coupe until a tragic accident with a boulder due to sunglare. It was/is a beautiful color and I miss it...love my back coupe, but the polar was flawless. I saw on Carfax it was retitled so maybe it is around somewhere. I still remember the VIN...WPOAA2968RS820655

I thought I was the only one <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> I bet we look pretty silly doing it, but it's hard to resist sometimes.

For me, they look more the "business"

I was just tired of cleaning the Kenesis. With forged centers and an anodize coating that is not smooth like paint, the upkeep was more than I wanted on a DD.

Thanks for the updated pics. She looks great, wheels are nice! This is good inspiration for me to get to work on my polar silver coupe as well. So darn busy with other stuff, other cars to repair, etc.

Funny thing... I do the look back as well, did with my old 944, too.

I was taking the garbage out last night, and when I open the door to the garage, there's the Porsche Badge staring me in the face every time... and after a few months of ownership, I still get a slight palpitation, and then a soothing sensation that few things give me.

Never got that with the 944, oddly.

Its the factory wind deflector from Porsche. About $368 from Sunset Porsche in Cal. Look at the posts under "SHOPAHOLICS"........."ACCESORIES". Everything you want to know about is in that thread. Its the only choice you have for our cars and it does work great.
