Plastic Nuts
#1

I searched the PET and I cannot find the part number for the little plastic nuts that hold down the plastic rear engine cover (944 504 533 00) that goes over the cruise control unit and the fuel lines.

Anyone have a different information source that might have these numbers or know where to find the actual nuts?

MCL I think they are the same as the nuts which secure the plastic cover underneath the fuse box ...

If your rear engine cover is rattling, the screw part of the bulkhead cable ties will do the job.

Thanks for this (and to MCL968 for asking the question to begin with) as this thread made me recall I'd picked up a 2nd rear engine cover recently as my original was damaged only to discover I was also missing one of these nuts.   Ordered a set to hopefully get that issue fixed! ;-)

A friend who loves his toys has just bought a 3D printer, I wonder if he can knock these up as a test? I guess ones needs to find the pattern specs, are such things online? Must have a search ..... Edit: yep, thousands of sites offering designs, open source, some free some not.

EU and UK people .... I bought a pack of 10 plastic nuts but only needed two. I intend to keep two spares which means I've 6 available for anyone who has not got around to ordering them. (Sounds like a kindergarten maths question)

Just PM me your address and how many you need, and I'll stick them in an envelope.... no pay necessary, we're talking peanuts.

And thanks to Waylander for pointing me in the right direction....again Smile
