AirBox Nuts
#1

Started out washing the car this AM and decided to fix a couple of little nagging things. 5 hours later....

Since I don't have much technical to offer folks on the forum I thought I'd share a couple of Rube Goldbergs with you. For this I have an unnatural talent.

Air Box Nuts - the little rubber things that hold the airbox in place, but break off.

The teet on the Dside had broken off, the Pside is OK, and the front braket had sheered.

For the front piece I used some epoxy - viola (hope it holds).

Dside:

I removed the stub that was left and drilled out the center one drill size smaller than the head of a hex bolt. Then shoved the bolt through.

Then shoved the stub back in the hole in the chasis, put a couple of washers on and bingo - tight as a drum.
