Good adhesive for re-attaching an emblem?
#21

I think you will find that the adhesive they use for the emblems is not as permanent as you think and will not harm you paint when removed unless you have some unusual paint problem. I have even removed emblems by gently prying with a knife while protecting the paint from scratches with a bit of masking tape along side.

Scotch Super-Strength adhesive is an excellent general purpose adhesive which would hold the emblems on well but I am not sure that they would be easily removed thereafter.

Unfortunately when mine were removed the adhesive actually pitted the clear coat so no amount of polishing that area would clean up the paint. I put a little dab of clear silicone on the back and pressed them back in place. The letters weigh so little that they stayed in place until the silicone set.
