Porsche emblem color came off
#1

Has anyone had this problem? I had my car covered with a cloth cover over the winter with the car under a carport. After I returned from a business trip in the spring the emblem was all gold, no color left. The plastic striped parts were on the ground.

Never really saw this or heard of it but I think u can just glue the plastic back on. I know some of the logos are ceramic not plastic.

The rest of the stripes are gone and the black in the antler things disappeared too I'll just have to get another emblem. It's just so strange they all came off.

You can buy Testor Model Paint and repair the Porsche emblem. My son painted his wheel center caps 2 years ago and they still look new.

Cheers,

What about the gold metallic background?

Anyone else find a correct color match for that?

I would like to restore mine too, and the gold has faded similar to the ones pictured above.

I spent many childhood hours with the Testors model paints, so will try those for the insets once I get the base gold restored.

I think it looks good without the color.

+ 1 . Unique, I actually would leave it that way.

Try some nice mag/aluminum polish and clean it up, looks good and unique. I did that on my 911 once after the AZ sun faded it out.
