There is a lot of discussion about performance chips on both forums. My question: Is it feasible for me to invest in a chip if I don't plan on racing nor track the car. That being said, I do want to get the most out of the Porsche experience and power without a major investment. What's involved? Simply swapping out the chip? Who has gotten the best results? With what equipment?
Your advice is appreciated!

Thanks Flash! Yes, I've read a ton of info but I was looking for the BEST ADVICE. You guys seem to be on the top of everything. I think this is the best route to boost the power band.
Again, thanks for your wisdom and insight.

I too say thanks...after reading all the threads, this is very clear and concise - get the RSBarn chip! I've had my car since July and it's not a fulltime daily driver, so I haven't had real opportunity to "open 'er up" yet. Wife not crazy about "losing her lunch" while taking highway on ramps and corners at 4K rpm...need more solo time. Due to work schedule, I don't have time to work on the car from August to January. I've been focusing on the interior as time permits but plan on moving under the hood in the upcoming couple of weekends. My first step is the airbox mod and now I have step two. I really wanted to get a feel for the car stock prior to doing any mods, but I'm kinda chomping at the bit to make some performance mods cause it's the right thing to do! Do we add the RSBarn chip to the 968 "DO" section now?

Waiting for Pete's chips would be why I didn't buy anything earlier. It's good to know it will work out good for me. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
