Larry, you didn't just ask that ! " Oh no, you di-en' ! " ( insert: moving head side to side, arm extended with pointer finger underscoring the expression.. )

Sorry but for that question, you just lost your Jessica priviledges. We're taking her away from you and having her reassigned to more deserving 968 owners...

I just went out and rumaged around in my garage.

I could have sworn I had an old Kevlar helmet left over from my army days...

OK, I didn't mean to start this as a pile on Larry thread . I had a realization that perhaps through some kind of cosmic convergence, a regular reader may have missed the final word on chips, so here it is, in the proper forum, laid out, spread eagle, THE CHIP SUMMARY:

See, I got may answer without having to dig through all the threads. Thanks Dave. And, for you Dan, Jessica will not show on your screen in the future. I'm planning new pictures as soon as things settle down for her in the Miss Alabama role. Maybe she could be our guest speaker at the 2006 968 Celebration. Her platform is Breast Cancer Awareness. She spoke to my Kawanis Club and it took me an hour to get her out after the meeting. The only negative I can find with her is she is a student a Auburn. Roll Tide!

I was in the market for a chip and started wading through the 40-50 threads on which is best...and gave up. It seemed to be like Which is Better? Ford or Chevy? (Chevy actually). Although Porsche trumps them both. Apparently some chips do better for low end, others for high end, etc, etc. There was an article in 9 magazine on this (I think...apparently it was never completed until an issue I couldn't get)...So..for the time being, I've given up.

However, if Greimann suggests anything...take it serious. I'm now going to look into the Speed 6 Chip.

Thanks, Greimann, that Speed 6 web store front has some good stuff. I'd not see it before.

You won't be disappointed with the speed 6 chip.

I ordered the one that has the link on this site. I'm not looking for a racing chip, so I think this one will work fine for my use. Good advice for this site.

Greimann, I don't have a $1000 right now but will three $300 bills and three $33 doller bills work? That's close. I'll need to get a new printer ink cartridge first though.

You provide great advice. Thanks.

Larry,

Jessica is more than welcome at the 968 Celebration - Newtown. She can even bunk in at our place if Melva says its OK (Just doing our part to help the unfortunates in flood ravaged Alabama...can't you see the poor girl is starving, and needs clothes???)

We will take a vote as to whether you will be welcomed after starting a thread on chips...LOL.

No flood in Alabama. We have damage, but the water is in La. Maybe not Jessica, but I can bring a nice model to the 2006 Celebration for picture with everyone's car.
