I am in a place in my life that I can see 10-15 years ahead for the first time. I have a small business that is doing well and am recovering from parting with all my toys. I sold a 1973 911 and a 1990 944 Cabriolet and am looking to replace them with a 968 coupe (black, white or silver)
I have owned several VW's two Porsches a few Audis and even one BMW. I have looked high and low for the perfect car for me and the 968 is going to be it. I really enjoyed the 944 cabriolet that I had for a few years. The torque tube went bad and I sold it for pennies because I was in a tight spot and wasn't driving it at the time.
I know that I don't need to sing the praises of this car to the crowd here but... the front engine rear drive hatchback design is the most user friendly design on the road. Big enough to carry two adults and two full sets of golf clubs. Smooth, fast and rare, most people don't even know what it is and that does it for me.
I imagine that if I can find a good one that I will keep it for the remainder of my life and smile for many years knowing that I don't need look for a next best thing.
As far as the personal info goes:
I am a husband of 24 years. The father of 7 children (some biological some adopted, mixed up group of races and genders.) I am an Internet marketing expert and sell my services to Realtors and Professionals on a monthly subscription basis. I like to mountain bike, ski and snowboard, golf, wakeboard, and plan on owning a 27' sail boat before too long. I live in a relatively small town (60K) called Bellingham WA - about 90 miles north of Seattle. I am just about even with the San Juan Islands and can see most of them from my neighborhood. I work from home and don't really spend that much time working - so I have a lot of time to play - drive around - and spend time with my family. I am a skilled fabricator, welder, painter and like to tinker in the shop.
I look forward to reading everything in this forum and will try to contribute from time to time.
