Signing in from the Pacific Northwest

Hello fellow 968 enthusiasts;

I just aquired a beautiful 1993 Guards Red Coupe. This is a step up from my current DD, an 87 924S (also red). My wife refers to them as "old tomato" and "new tomato."



The car has been is storage for the last 4 years or so, so the first order of business will be to get it back into operational condition, replacing all fluids, etc. Not sure what to do with a full tank of 4 year old gas.



Looking forward to finally driving it when all of the maintenance and oil leaks have been addressed.

Welcome! That's one heck of an upgrade.



First order of business, regardless of miles traveled that timing belt (and balance shaft belt) is at least four years old and is beyond its useful life (both mileage and time work against you). Get it replaced right away, since every time you start the car there is a lot of extra load on that belt that can cause a catastrophic failure.
