OVERHEATING!!!!!!!!!!!
#1

I woke up Sunday morning at 6:00 and headed out to the autocross in Miami. I was on the Florida turnpike until 30 mins later I see my temperature rising slowing and the emergency light faded on slowly. I pulled over and I took a look under the hood and nothing was leaking. I hopped back in and kept going, keeping an eye on the temperature. I noticed the temperature would bounce around when im going past 60. I headed home in dissapointment. The water pump was already replaced before this incident. It might be the radiator? any suggestions?

Thank you,

Alex

do not drive it any farther - you really need to get that sorted out before something very bad happens

it could be a failed pump - it happens with new ones too

could be a stuck tensioner - causes the pump to not be driven

the likely suspect though is that it could be a stuck thermostat

Check Fluid levels when cool. I didn't have leaks but had overheating episodes.

I started to notice that coolant level in the reservoir kept going down, but no leaks

and no coolant on the ground. Eventually I got white smoke upon start-up,

after a new head gasket no problems. Losing coolant without obvious leaks

is a bad symptom.
