Drivers side fog and aux high out??
#1

Both the fog light and auxiliary high beam on the driver’s side are out. I have checked and swapped fuses. What's next? New Assembly?

Thanks, Howard

Well the good news is I discovered why they were not working. They were not plugged in.

The bad news:

I knew that the drivers front corner suffered a minor collision that was corrected with 6k worth of factory parts, but they left out the clip that holds the small black bumper in as well as the screw that hold the lamp in. When I took the small black bumper screws out and pulled it away from the body I heard nuts falling. I knew this was bad and then saw the missing screw for holding the lamp assembly in. I do not see any way to hold the screws in place to put the assembly back together so I guess I’ll try some large sheet metal screw to temporarily hold it in there. Any ideas on finding the clip? Can I put it in without removing the bumper? I was just looking at the picture. I wonder if I can get to the screws with the side marker out?

Looks like some type of speednut would do the job. Above is a link to an AUS site but I'm sure any US body shop would be able to help.

You should be able to get those slip on clips from any good parts store or even any dealer; it doesn't matter if they are Porshce parts as long as the width is right to fit in the slot.

In Judge's link, the second row down third from the left looks like the correct style that should be there.

I ran to ACE and got a speed nut for the lamp screw since there is a push-in slot available. For the small black bumper I decided to just tap the body work for now and put large screws in. When one of my mills free up I will make a nut plate that I can bring in from the back and hold in place with the lamp speed nut. It is back together and working for now. Thanks!
