i'm not spinning anything. this is right from the dynomax website.
here is a link to their website where it says this (see model 17749):
http://www.dynomax.c...techsection.pdf
and no it doesn't prove anything, and it certainly is not what my dyno tests showed years ago. but that's irrelevant. all it proves is that your engine made that power. i never said that it didn't or that the "limit" was all the power it would allow. i said that dynomax said that after that much power, it would start limiting your power. your dyno tests don't prove anything about the restriction of the muffler, or how much it costs in upper end power.
for the record, i like the sound of the muffler, and still think it's a good application. in fact, i just had to have a conversation with a local muffler shop on behalf of one of my customers, and had to persuade the muffler shop owner to run the super turbo. he didn't want to do it because he got tired of sending them back damaged. he stopped carrying them for that reason, and refuses to install them. after a very long conversation, he finally agreed to put it on, but said he would not warranty it.
you can actually see the mufflers "soup can" too. you and i had this conversation years ago when i blew one of them up. i tried strapping the thing, with no success. then i blew the back end right off of it. it had too much restriction for the fast revving engine. you said they improved the case, so that wouldn't happen again. but the internals are the same. the restriction is still there. that's helpful for a normally aspirated engine, and helps maintain low end torque, but it costs potential upper end horsepower gains. you even said that here on this site, when defending against arguments about other systems and power gains they claimed. everybody agreed it was a good tradeoff not to lose torque, even if it meant losing some upper end power gains.
but none of this has anything to do with the O2 sensor, so let's get back on track. we can start a whole new thread about mufflers. i'm getting pretty close to that anyway, as i have again been testing things, and am getting close to making changes and recommendations based on those results.
