Where to have my car painted in Phoenix area?
#1

Alas, my poor car has been accosted by the dreaded 'Key Master'. Damnit! And, not suprising, I think he was a she, but of course there's no proving it without an eye-witness or a confession. And fat chance of that happening.

But, I didn't come here to dwell on that which cannot be changed. I need to find an autobody shop in the Phoenix area to repair this atrocity. She was keyed pretty badly--across the hood and front bumper, then down the drivers side, from the front fender all the way to the rear quarter and back. Most of the scratches look to be very deep as well, all the way to the metal. Boy did I piss someone off.

Also, anyone have any advice when it comes to having your car painted? Is there anything I need to keep in mind or questions I should ask when getting quotes?

Cheers,

Jeff

Scottsdale paint and body. This place is the factory's back door. Lower Scottsdale near Tempe.

Thanks Rude944. I went there two days ago and is probably where I will have the work done. I think I am going to get that splitter from Raj if he still has one. Would be a good time to have it painted and installed.

Jeff

Jeff,

Can you post when you're done with it about pricing and how you liked the work? I desperately need a paint job as well....

Thanks!

I would not use Scottsdale Paint and Body. They used to be the defacto but now I would not trust them. I have had several porsche's in there for repair in the past with different results. I would highly recommend Hunters –

Hunter's Paint & Auto Body

2934 N Omaha

Mesa, AZ 85215 - 1129

(480) 985-8255

In case you do not have the info for Scottsdale Pain and Body here you go –

Scottsdale Paint & Body

350 N Hayden Rd

Scottsdale 85257 - 4623

(480) 941-8800

WYLDCTZ--I sure will.

FLWBYU--Thank you so much. I didn't have a good feeling when I left there. It was kind of like they expected my business. Like there was no where else to go. I shall definitely go and check out Hunter's. What experience did you have there? Was it personal or second hand?

Thanks again.

jeffski1,

I had my car taken in to Hunter's when someone plowed into my right side door on my 944. They did an excellent job and actually communicated with me when some problems arose with the parts not fitting correctly. They returned the parts they had gotten from one of there manufacturers and got me new ones that fit correctly. They seemed to actually care about what happened to my car as if it where there own. In the end, all I can tell you is trust your instincts and shop around!
