really? that's the first i heard of such a direction - i presume that would be to either prevent wax hazing due to trapped moisture, or to prevent contaminants from becoming embedded in the underside material - i have never had this as a problem though
currently my bra stays on the car - however, i do not drive it in the rain at all, as that would create problems underneath
since it stays on the car, i have installed blue masking tape anywhere there could be rubbing (i.e. across the front corners, between the grill and lights, and across the upper hood band)
do not be surprised if your car runs warmer with the cover on - this is due to 2 things - one is the mesh interrupts the air as it tries to get to the radiator - the other is that the air is generally warmer at the intake point due to the nature of the bra being black
eventually i will get the clear bra kit done, and install that on the car - then i will only use the black bra on long trips
