Welcome. You've joined a great community and found a great resource.

Where in Asia are you? I travel to various places, including China and Taiwan.

You'll undoubtedly be told that your cruise control cable should be positioned under the engine cover, not over it as yours is. You'll also be told, I'm sure, that your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.

Again, welcome and enjoy.

BTW - I think your color is great, make sure you'll be happy with the black result before starting that process. A big color change like that is very complicated - engine bay, door sills, trunk, etc. etc. etc.

There is a purple on purple 6speed here in the states that was on ebay earlier this year. Didnt like it at first but after some time the color started to grow on me. That was my 1st time seeing a purple 68. Yours makes #2.

I also had my car repainted in basalt black. However, it was originally "plain" black, so I didn't have to worry about all of the little areas that will stick out like...well, at least to me, sore thumbs. That's not the case with such a large color change - unless one bites the bullet and has EVERYTHING resprayed, which would have cost much more money than I was willing to spend. However, different folks, different strokes.

Welcome and congrats on owning a great car. Now, it is your car and you can do with it what you like but that is one very rare color combo. Your exterior color is called Raspberry (code A7) and the interior is called Magenta. Raspberry is a very rare color here in the US but the few of them we do have are paired with blacks and greys and cashmere inside. I've never seen Raspberry paired with Magenta before. It is probably very rare. I would leave it alone, then again, I drive a mint green car. Good luck.

Hello - Welcome... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Just curious, where are you located - what county / city? Also has it been difficult to find support for your 68?

I live in Southern California and in my specific area there's support for 911's but not a 968..

..Just noticed you're in Hong Kong...

Remember that ebay car with the lambo doors? Was that Raspberry?

That car was Amethyst (see photo). That is the color you will usually find magenta interiors paired with.
