This Cabriolet belongs to a member of the Porsche Club 968 Deutschland - he is located in city of Eilwangen if anybody would like to stop by during a vacation in Germany. More info on member's cars (including mine) at www.porsche-club-968-deutschland.de

I am a member since 2003 but have been unable to convince the wife that we need to return to Germany for a 968 event. They are one of the few organizations that is allowed to use the Porsche logo on their correspondence and they have many 968 events, including trips to the Factory.

Anybody who lives in Germany and has a 968 should check this Club out.

His soft top is blue aswell. Personally, I think the blue works well with Mint Green. Kinda like it.

"possibly the ugliest color combination i have ever seen"

Well Bob, somewhere in the US is a 92 cab painted in Rubystone red (solid pink) with a magenta (purple) top and a magenta and light gray interior and a tiptronic.

How's that?

Jeff

Yeah that blue/mint is absolutely hideous. Mint on black would be sweet.

Kind of off-topic, but has anyone seen, or tried the green (black) strip in the dashboard to replace it with a custom made peace of wood?
and are there any pictures of it?

There are wood kit overlays available and a few members have them

Porsche actually made these pieces available in wood. There was a nearly complete set on Ebay last year. Problem is the pieces are extremely rare and usually you can't find everything so the install would be missing pieces. For instance, the set on Ebay was missing a few of the switch blanks, so you would have had normal black blanks along with a couple wood blanks. If it had been a complete set, I would have bought it just to have it...

There was also a wood shift knob available from the factory. I've seen 1 car with it. a '94 Coupe.

Wood is so 70's. I hate everything about wood in a car.
I do like Metal accents, which I'm sure others hate as well.

I like wood in a luxury boat....like an s Class Mercedes or BMW 7er. I like aluminum trim in sports cars/sedans. I have wood in the Audi and like it, but its more of a luxury car then a sport sedan. The top of the line RS models have CF in place of the wood.

Well, the cool thing in my humble opinion is that the 968 can be both (luxury and sportscar)
Here are some samples on a 928, and an aftermarket option.

and in a 944

I quite like it, although it should be lighter (picturing my car with a grey interior) someone that could fotoshop that ?
