I purchased my 68 last year and via tis forum I quickly learned that the DME Relay is prone to failure. So i purchased the one below from Paragon, swapped it for the existing and threw the old one in the back.
Well, here we are a year later and my car wouldn't start. knowing that I had the new DME in place I assumed I wasn't getting spark. Called the good folks at RS Barn, as I planed on buying wires from them anyhow, and explained my situation. His first response "did you swap the DME?" This got me thinking, the old one was in the trunk and it would take 2 minutes to test. So I run in the garage and give the key a twist 1, 2, 3 times and no start. Swap in the old DME and Bingo! first try.
Have any of you experienced this problem after replacing your DME?
Did I buy the wrong one ?
More then likely, this is just part of my typical hard knock life.
