how many miles do you have on your D1R SC kit?
#21

i haven't really driven the car since coming back from Flash's garage. It's been in the garage with the interior stripped... Waiting for my interior pieces to come back from the upholstery shop. I'm doing an all leather interior with matching kevlar bride seats and xracing steering wheel. Hopefully, I should have everything back by the end of this week and I should be putting some serious miles on it until fall comes...

It would be interesting to know what was done prior to S/C install, valve job, head gasket, etc. as well as the miles on the engine. In other words how many actually followed Flash's recommendations?

I followed Flash's instructions, and then some. Full engine rebuild with the supercharger, and then I put 5k on it the first week driving all over the country. Runs great.

somwhere around 5000 miles on the sc .

Car has a total of 70000miles on the engine .

No rebuild .

As instructed by flash installed the sc , since the leakdown etc came out fine i did not change the headgasket .

I am running the car with the sc for a year now , and the plan is to change the headgasket and do a reuild of the head when it needs new belts and waterpump .

Up to about 13K miles. Runs perfectly except for the stumble off the line when cold - pretty dependable stumble. The hp and torque are the new normal far as I'm concerned. Was goofing with a e46 M3 on a 2-lane slight down hill off camber cloverleaf off ramp. I had him dead to rights until damned thing started to understeer. I finally overwhelmed my little 16" tires - ha.
