I happened to pull into my garage last night and noticed my speedometer was sitting exactly on 160k. Exactly. So, I couldn't resist taking the photo.
What miles do some of your other high-miles 968s have? Just curious.

Nice to see other 100+ cars out there. Any 200K's ?
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

I'm sitting at 179k... Hasn't been out on the road in awhile since I've been working on replacing a bunch of the front suspension. Sort of stuck on what castor blocks to go with at the moment though. Starting to get it sorted out for some DE useage.

I guess 179k is the winner so far.
My car is a good example of high miles not being a bad thing. I've had it for six years--it had about 85k when I bought it--and it's never looked or run better.

84k on mine...I had a 1985 944 and when it was totaled (a big truck's fault, not mine) in 1997 it had right around 200,000...and still ran great.
German engineering is a great thing sometimes!

Interesting.
Could it be said that the engineering on the 68 is superior, in some regards, to the 44 meaning that, at the minimum, it should last just as long?

That's what I'm hoping for!...except for the fact that they share so many parts. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
According to most mechanic type folks who are familiar with these engines, there's no good reason they shouldn't go to 300K. That's what I'm shooting for on the 944. I've heard of the 3.0L 911SC vintage motors going that far with little or no major work.
