I just delivered my '95 cab to RS Barn for the routine 160k miles service.

It's going to get new Variocam pads and chain, an oil change, newly rebuilt silver front calipers + new fluid and brake pads, and whatever else it needs. There are many more miles that this car has to do.

I just saw my car for the first time in nearly two weeks. It has a totally refreshed head, the "new" rebuilt and silver coated front calipers, and many other maintenance items that are "routine" for a car with 160,000 miles. It's also been run on a dyno. I can't wait to get it back and see what it's like - and I'm particularly looking forward to mid-May when I'll have it at Watkins Glen, where I'll see what top speed I can get to on the back straight.

Probably later in the year, it'll be back at RS Barn for some performance upgrades. Based on the dyno charts I saw, I expect that Pete will be publishing some intriguing results.

Mine just hit 182,000 miles this weekend. Was half considering selling it and buying a 996 Cabrio till I found this post. Maybe I will keep it another year and see what happens

Amazon green coupe I just drove to Oklahoma City from Northern, CA turned 237,589 miles when I pulled into there driveway. 3 straight 12 hour drive days at 80 mph and it still had great compression, did not consume oil, got 30+ miles to a gallon on freeway, with plenty of power and lots of miles to come in the future for the new owners!

It's nice to see that folks are driving. I've always said that the 968 is so much fine to drive, why not use it daily? I'm now approaching 165k miles, with many more to come.

I started this thread in May of 2007 when my 968 had 160k. It's been interesting to see the miles that everyone has on their cars. My car is now closing in on 168k and running better than new. Actually, there are so many new parts, some of them replaced twice during my ownership, that it is almost new. :-)

Keep 'em goin'.
