I happened to pull into my garage last night and noticed my speedometer was sitting exactly on 160k. Exactly. So, I couldn't resist taking the photo.

What miles do some of your other high-miles 968s have? Just curious.
156,000
130K just a couple of weekends ago <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/happy.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Heh, wow, that's some wicked gas millage you're getting too <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
168,694...smiles!
I am just about ready to roll over 100k myself! Still going strong. ;-)
Bought it with just under 18K four years ago come this July - just fliped 46K this weekend... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Sam
Nice to see other 100+ cars out there. Any 200K's ?
I'm sitting at 179k... Hasn't been out on the road in awhile since I've been working on replacing a bunch of the front suspension. Sort of stuck on what castor blocks to go with at the moment though. Starting to get it sorted out for some DE useage.
I guess 179k is the winner so far.

My car is a good example of high miles not being a bad thing. I've had it for six years--it had about 85k when I bought it--and it's never looked or run better.
"ol blue" has 151,750 miles now and still running like a good Porsche should. I bought the car with 64,000 miles in January, 2003. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.
The highest mileage cabs in the registry are 199K and 176K.
My cab is currently at 179,500 -- I need to drive more often, but my current office is at home....
This last weekend I turned 110,000. Bought it a year ago at 98,000
137,000 and change here.
84k on mine...I had a 1985 944 and when it was totaled (a big truck's fault, not mine) in 1997 it had right around 200,000...and still ran great.

German engineering is a great thing sometimes!
968 turned over 115K on the way to Hershey...944 has 230K and still runs great!

Interesting.

Could it be said that the engineering on the 68 is superior, in some regards, to the 44 meaning that, at the minimum, it should last just as long?

That's what I'm hoping for!...except for the fact that they share so many parts. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

According to most mechanic type folks who are familiar with these engines, there's no good reason they shouldn't go to 300K. That's what I'm shooting for on the 944. I've heard of the 3.0L 911SC vintage motors going that far with little or no major work.

Got my 968 with 99500 last april, Now I am at 117500.

I have had my 87 944 N/A since July 05. Got it for $1200 with 175k and it now has 210K. It has had all the usual maintenance done (clutch, ps rack and pump, etc.) It runs so good I will not part with it.
